The 2014 Panel & Engineered Lumber International Conference & Expo has released its first list of speakers and moderators for the event to be held March 20-21 at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The preliminary list includes 40 participants, representing a range of technologies and wood products. Additional speakers will be announced soon.

Three more keynote speakers have also been added, including Joe Andrews, general manager of Richmond Plywood; Tom Julia, president of Composite Panel Assn.; and Dick Baldwin, longtime plywood industry veteran and managing partner with Oak Creek Investments.

They join previously announced keynoters Kelly Shotbolt of Flakeboard/Arauco; Brian Luoma of LP Building Products, Roger Tutterow from Mercer University and Tapani Kiiski of Raute.

PELICE is hosted by Panel World and Wood Bioenergy magazines and Georgia Research Institute.

Each morning starts with a general session, featuring keynoters from various segments of the panel industries, followed by simultaneous technology sessions in the meeting rooms.

Subject matters in the sessions will include Resins & Adhesives, Process Improvements, Operational Efficiencies, New Technologies, Veneer Drying, and Dust and HAPs Control.

Immediately preceding PELICE is the Bioenergy Fuels & Products Conference & Expo on March 18-19, also at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center. Many exhibitors and attendees participate in both conferences. Both events are held in the Grand Ballroom North of the Omni Hotel.

As of early December the expo portion of PELICE was 99% sold out, with only a few booths remaining.
